The global economic recession requires extra effort and time for a project to accomplish success. Project managers are the one that will uphold the whole project in the way to achieve victory. The success of the project relies greatly on the abilities of project manager, which is why its qualities are essential to take into consideration.

There are specific project manager qualities that are considered as critical requirement for the welfare of the project and the company as well. Some of these qualities are being discussed in details in the following.

1. 1. Know how to balance responsibility and authority.

The higher the authority that is given to you by the management means widened responsibility. Authority and responsibility work together and you cannot be efficient if you do not have these specific project manager qualities. You cannot start the project without possessing balance between responsibility and authority.

One of the most important project manager qualities is being able to plan meticulously and appropriately. Your actual performance will not matter even if you give your best to it if you did not do the right planning. You must set goals that are realistic, simple, measurable, attainable and time bounded.

The success of any project does not rely only with the project manager itself but with the whole team. A single person is not able to do everything that can lead to accomplishment. That is why, another essential project manager qualities include the capacity of the leader to see and give the value of each worker. Working together with unity can be a result of the proper treatment to each of every worker.

Workers rely greatly on the manager that is why it is also necessary that he possess confidence as one of the project manger qualities. Project manager must be confident in a way that it can help the team by motivating them with the consistency of your decisions. A project manager must believe in himself, trusts his ideas and uphold confidence for the others to do the same.

Coaching your workers is better rather than commanding them. These people know their responsibility that is why you can expect them to work in a way that they should be. There are times by which they might commit mistakes then there comes the importance of having the skill of coaching as project manager. Coaching is good if it is use in the appropriate way by which you do not stress your authority but developing responsibility.

There are still many project manager qualities that you have to consider that can contribute to the success of the assignment. These are some of the most important ones by which may vary from one company to another.
